We can’t provide a set cost for auditing and certification as every business’s requirements are different. The cost is influenced by a number of factors including: the scope of your audit, the certifications and standards required. The number of people involved and how many sites we need to visit.

This is dependent on how many sites we need to cover, the number of people involved and the certifications you require.

This varies depending on the type of certification you are looking to achieve with the exception of Module A2 for which a quality system is not required. We are used to working with organisations that operate across multiple sites, we will discuss the process of doing this and the associated costs and timings with you at the initial application and quote stage of the process. 

One of our experienced auditors will carry out your audit. Who we allocate to your audit will be dependent upon your location, the certification(s) you require, our auditors availability and whether they have the competency to carry out the type of audit in question.

Your certificate (s) are valid for 3 years. However, a surveillance audit will need to take place annually during this time.

We will contact you with a provisional date 3 months before your surveillance audit is due. Ensuring you have plenty of time to prepare for it, and automatically reminding you about it.

A witnessed verification is when one or more of the clients nominated approved verifiers are assessed on their competence and capability of correctly verifying instruments against UK regulations. This is usually undertaken at Stage 2 of the certification process at client’s site or a client’s customer site depending on location and availability.

An audit plan includes your audit dates, the scope of the audit and certifications, and  a detailed outline of the day (s) schedule.

Yes, this is something we pride ourselves on, as we know from experience it makes the process much more straightforward. Once we have approved and sent you your audit plan you will be put in direct contact with the person conducting your audit. 

We aim to make the process as quick and efficient as possible. Once we have conducted your audit, the results will be reviewed by the technical team. This usually takes around 1 week, the information is then sent to our MD for the final decision. Upon a successful decision we will then issue your certificate as soon as our invoice is settled.

We will send you your certificate and notify OPSS who will update the approved manufacturers list which is publicly available on their website.

Once we have issued your certificate and sent a copy to OPSS they will issue your verification number, this usually takes around 48 hours.
